For Chloe Quatkemeyer, sports have always been more than just a game. They鈥檙e a way to connect, grow, and remember.

Growing up, she played softball and volleyball, but some of her favorite memories happened off the field, watching games with her dad and having thoughtful post-game conversations.

When her dad passed away her freshman year at 葫芦影业, Chloe found purpose and healing by continuing their shared love for sports through her major in sport management.

鈥淢y dad was my big inspiration for why I chose my major,鈥 she said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 my way of keeping his memory alive. Being involved in the sports industry isn鈥檛 just something I鈥檓 passionate about, it鈥檚 an opportunity to make an impact on future generations.鈥

This summer, Chloe is interning with the , a minor league baseball team. Her role is broad and immersive, touching on everything from ticketing and operations to marketing, graphics, and event planning.

鈥淚t鈥檚 an ideal placement because it allows me to explore different areas to find out what I like,鈥 she said.

One area where Chloe has seen the most growth is communication. Naturally quiet and reserved, she鈥檚 had to step out of her comfort zone to lead VIP tours and interact with fans at the ballpark.

鈥淭he Dragons pride themselves on entertainment and excellent customer service,鈥 she said. 鈥淲hether they are winning or losing, we want fans to have a great experience at the ballpark and keep coming back.鈥

She was glad she mastered the art of conversation when, during the Logan Wilson Celebrity Softball Game, she got to converse with Cincinnati Bengals players and their family and friends.

鈥淚t was the coolest experience I鈥檝e had so far,鈥 she said.

With each new challenge, Chloe is building the professional skills she鈥檒l need to launch a successful career in the sports industry.

鈥淚鈥檓 enjoying the connections I am making,鈥 she said. 鈥淎nd every day, I鈥檓 learning on the spot things that just can鈥檛 be taught in a textbook.鈥滲ottom of Form
